Hi Everyone,

I recently bought a Win7 PC, and my download speeds are very very slow. My old winxp computer connected to the Mega 100WR router is working fine with no changes.

I read somewhere that the firmware on the router might be too old to handle Win7, and upgrading might solve the problem.

But is it still recommended considering all the problems people have been having upgrading the firmware: http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthr...rmware-Release&highlight=Windows+7+Mega+100WR.

Is there another way to get my Win7 machine up to speed with my old one?

Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Have you tried resetting the router? I am currently using that router with Win7 and have had no issues.

Of course! (smacks forhead).

I'd downloaded the files at work and was all set to upgrade at home. Lucky I checked this forum before I began.

I always forget to try the simple things first.

Thanks M_H, you saved me causing myself a whole load of problems.
