Mega 100WR Wireless range

I've got a recurring problem with my Mega 100WR. The router keeps dropping the LAN connections and is unaccessible until I restart the router. All four LAN lights come on and there are only 2 LAN connections. Windows reports hat it has lost the LAN connection.

I've moved the router to a cold, well ventilated room because I thought it might be overheating but the problem still occurs. Sometimes I've got to switch the router off for an hour before it will connect stably again.

I've scanned both computers for viruses. I've disabled the DHCP server and manually assigned IPs and DNS servers. I am running 2 PCs by LAN cable with the router in bridge mode. The firewall is active and I've disabled the wireless.

I had this same problem with the Telkom Marconi router and the ADSL guys told me to swop it out, which I did.

The other problem is that the reset button on the router doesn't seem to work - is the router supposed to be powered on or not when you use the reset?
 
I have to say my range is not bad. The router is upstairs myabe 5-10m away and I still receive a signal which is low, but doesn't disconnect and has good speed.
 
Mega 100WR login problems

Hi just got this crappy modem, ps i hate telkom but hey it came free so it was worth a try. Anyway so using xp or any other pc other than my normal one, i can log into my router via the default access point 10.0.0.2, right so now when i use my normal pc, windows vista operating system, i type in the address and it just takes me to a white page. There is no security or passwords, or blocks activated so it should take me straight into the router settings. I try a diff web browser like microsoft internet explorer (im using firefox) an it does the same thing. Any ideas as to wat the prob could be...?
 
wireless???

i have a mega 100wr router. its my second one (1st just stopped working completely.) for a while now my wireless led on the router has been off and now when i tried to connect to it with another PC it cant find it. i don't know if its a setting or if the wireless is just and i dont know what i'm doing wrong and i really dont want to phone telkoms help line.(they are completely useless don't know what they doing.)ive tried reseting my router didnt work i not sure if updating my firmware would fix it.

Go to 10.0.0.2 and enter your details. Click the "Wireless" tab and then click "Setup", fill in the appropriate details and then click "Restart Access Point" and then try again.
