I lost my ADSL disk when cleaning.
Maybe I accidentaly throw it away.

Is there a place were I can download it or get it?
I went to telkom and they said that you can only get it with new ADSL!

What do you need on the disk? AFAIK it's not needed at all, it's a bunch of crapware...

Just for Safety?
I know (10.0.0.2) has all setting

There's no safety in having the disc or the software on it. The only safety it gives is psychological, there's no benefit in installing anything located on the disc. Take my word for it ;)

But if you want to sell the modem then??

Just saying, what if you upgrade and sell the old one. Wouldn't they want a disk?

What could anyone possibly want on the disk? I've never installed in all my years the piece of rubbish software bundled with Telscum routers, never. Main thing is it's not needed. All configuration is done on the router.

I recall this router has USB if I'm not mistaken, so you might possibly need a driver on the disc to run it from USB though.

Further than that, only advice I can give is to approach someone with the same router, there are a few folks on this forum and have them copy the disc for you, or mail you the drivers for USB access.

In my experience, XP home, Pro & Vista all install the usb side of things without asking for the disk.

You need the disk to install the drivers if you connect your modem via the USB cable, I know, I just did it on thursday...

Can you make an zip or image and upload it on quickshare or openportal?

As I mentioned above, 'in my experience' windows can install the usb side of things for this router without asking for the disk. Just_Ice has had a different experience (I assume he's talking about windows). So maybe just plug in the usb cable, router to pc, and see what happens. In any event, although not recommended for windows to look for ANY drivers online, it probably will do if you leave the thing plugged in and check for updates manually. Assuming, that is, that you have the LAN cable also plugged in to get an internet connection. Just my 2 cents...

USB = prone to funny issues later on

Ethernet = recommended mode of operation, as all major OS'es (and the minority, such as Win95) will support Ethernet.

Definitely true. Only reason I was forced to use the usb on a couple of client's machines is that their on-board LAN's were fried. (And they didn't want to shell out for a PCI LAN card...) It was then I noticed Winders "found new hardware", etc, and did the necessary without asking for the disc.
