I had this modem for under a year and its not allowing me to log into it, sayin that 'Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage'.
Now i got to get to Telkom for an exchange and i really dont wanna get the same one which i will and i know it will happen again after the contract. Has any one had this problem and what would be the best adsl modem to get.
The firmware has been updated.

I'm not a fan of the Mega 105WR primarily because of it's incompatibility with Windows XP SP3.

However, what I have learned, with any modem, if you are struggling to get to the login interface, just try to reset it using that small little button next to the power cord. Just use a paperclip or something to push it in and hold it in for a few seconds. Your modem's lights will begin to flash, indicating it's going through a testing phase. When it's done, just try and log in again, and re-enter all your telkom login info, and you're set!

My experience is that the Telkom outlets replace with what ever modem they have in stock. If they have others as well as the 105WR, insist on getting the other make/model. It may also be worth while getting the one outlet to call the other outlets to see who's got stock of what.
My local Telkom outlet has told me a number of times that the Mega 105WR has been the worst modem they've ever stocked and has been the one with the most come-backs/returns/faults.

I have had the same kind of issue and it turned out the router was not setting the DNS servers when my machines were connecting with DHCP. I had to manually specify the DNS servers.

Do a ipconfig and see if your DNS setting on your pc have been set

The problem seemed to be BitDefender Internet Security.
Lucky me, took the modem to telkom customer service and they logged into it wit their account details and hadnt removed it. Luck me again free internet.
