Hi guys.
Im new here and hope someone can help me, because telkom cant!!! My old marconi router had to be replaced because the power button was faulty. Telkom gave me the mega 105RW router about 2 weeks ago. I tried to connect but the dsl and internet lights stayed off. After hours on the phone with telkom, trying to solve the problem they send a technician to my home about 2 days later. The tech looked at the router without touching it, and said that this router has a common problem with the power supply"lightning protector" and that i must replace it. So next morning i went back to telkom office and ordered a new router. In the meanwhile they gave back my old marconi router and it worked perfectly the 2 days i waited for my brand new mega 105rw. So i installed the new mega 105RW and it worked at first try. Next morning i turned it off before load shedding and after that the dsl and internet lights were off. Called telkom again and again waited a long time for them to answer,they tried for a wile to help, and send out a new tech again.
The tech phoned me and said he will come sunday, but he did not. Today he said he just wanna finish one job this morning and then he would see me,but again he did not.
How come the marconi worked for months without problems and both mega 105Rw's give me @#$%. Im online now because i left the mega on for more than a hour and eventually it went online. Im to afraid to switch it off, only problem is tommorow is teusday "load shedding" in Margate.Hope one of you guys can help because telkom is to busy for me.
