Flyme isn't bad - quite Apple-like, but I suspect that I shall just throw the Google launcher on there, or perhaps Apex Pro.

Next to the HTC 620 - these phones cost the same amount. The Meizu is lighter, slimmer and very nearly as narrow and short as the HTC despite having a 5.5 versus 5" screen.

The HTC is also sluggish, full of bloatware and frankly not worth bothering about - I'm selling it presently. The Meizu is my upgrade from that

Antutu is respectable for a budget phablet:

It's as good or better than the Blade S6 in most aspects, certainly performance and the 1080 vs. 720p. But the S6 is very nice for a small, sleek phone with a 5" display.

I'm selling the HTC but holding off on selling the Sony for now...but I can't see myself ever buying a flagship Android from the main Western manufacturers again, ie. Sony, Samsung, LG, HTC - not when the Chinese manufacturers have seriously upped their game - and at affordable prices.

It's strange the tricks the mind can play: the Xperia Z3 Compact feels tiny and toy-like when I go back to it after using the Meizu. I thought 5.5" would be too big for me but it's not; even budget Chinese manufacturers have slimmed down the bezels on their phones.

Mobile data is fast on this device - faster than on the Sony (not sure why).

Ta for the heads up, I'll be sure to not buy it! :D

Tell me, did the manufacturer send you a freebie in exchange for a write up?

No, I just like buying phones. Have 4 currently - Z3 Compact, HTC 620, ZTE Blade S6 and the Meizu. All are decent except the HTC.
