Hi Guys,

Quick question:

Wife bought the kids some kind of MP3 player that uses these microSD cards. I'm now tasked with loading music on all of them.
Was thinking it would be way easier to do it directly from the PC to these cars with those SD card reader thingies. Do they work like that though. Will I be able to put it in the reader, transfer file to and from these the computer via these readers?

Any suggestion on where to purchase one if that's the case?

Huh?
You want to load music onto the sd card?
Yes, that's what a card reader is for.

We use the Trascend readers at work on our CNC machines.

Look at the price difference though.
Go for the cheaper Takealot reader I posted and order it from the phone app.
Free shipping.

Yea, going to buy the Takealot one. It's for the MicroSD only no need for the other extra one they have on the Wootware one.

Thanks man, much appreciated.

Many of my data dongles have a built in Micro SD slot

Why don't you just plug the MP3 player into the PC? It is a card reader in and of itself and all it does is show you the memory card on your PC.

So it works EXACTLY the same.

This will be virtually the exact same as using the dongle...just without the effort of removing the SD card. Why complicate your life like this?

Nea, it's some Chinese thingy she bought. I don't even think it's got a USB cable or slot. According to her I need to load the music on the MicroSD cards. Will see when I get home anyway. Might just be as simple as plugging it into the PC. But I doubt it according to her description.

Do you not have a cell phone with an sd slot?
The card reader is easier but if you have a phone with micro sd then use it.

I know those cheapie mp3 players.

Get a card reader at the same place as you got the mp3 player.

The mp3 player takes a standard mini usb cable, and you can connect it to your pc, see the sd card and transfer direct as well.

Didn't even think of that.

Seems like I'll be sorted any which way. Phone or dongle.

Damn you guys are smart :p
