Good day gals/guys

For the last few years my memory has been absolutely appalling.

So I have extremely weak memory capacity. I can't even remember life changing events, like the day my children were born. My wedding day.

I struggle to even remember what I did an hour ago or yesterday.

I'm surprised I can even remember how to get to the office.

So, does anybody know what could be causing this situation?
Any recommendations on who I might be able to see to get a diagnosis of sorts?
Any advice would help.

Start with your GP. They'll probably recommend a bunch of blood tests etc, and then refer you from there.

Could be vitamin deficiencies, could be something like ME.

I also have a bad memory but not for long term memories, in fact I have excellent long term memory. Just task to task I often forget what I was intending on doing next after I'm done with what I'm doing currently. I'm also terrible at remembering names. Do let us know what your doc says.

You most probably have some kind of serious brain condition and might be developing Alzheimer. Get life cover and make sure your Will is in order.

Alternatively, go see a doctor.

I went to my GP, he did a thyroid test. Results showed normal levels of whatever they tested.

Should I see a hypno therapist or something?

My wife has M.E. But there are other symptoms that go with it that is hard to ignore.

Is it only memory loss @awvince you struggle with?

Yup, at the moment, it's only my memory.

How much does diet play on your memory capabilities?

I honestly don't remember much. I use notes and schedule reminders to do stuff.

I am not tired, but struggle to sleep most days.

Yes, I do struggle to concentrate.

Your not 70 are you?

Try some of those brain exercise puzzles all over the internet, if you fail dismally, seek medical attention.

I am just above half that age.

I shall try that if I remember.
