Esquire, why are you not making use of companies like Blue Strata to manage this process for you? If you haven't spoken to them before, do yourself a favour and pick up the phone. You'll be able to manage your import processes far better, especially if you're importing on an FOB basis...

It is all about cost when importing and we did have a look at those options before , besides we have been importing for over 23 years already ( 9years with Casey Electronics before we sold the Co and 14 years at Esquire )

We work on the JIT (Just in Time )system and to date have managed ,it is only times like these that at throw you out of the loop, where you have no control on pricing.

If you have been following our newsletter called “The Esquirer”, there is another shock coming up that going to impact pricing on all goods not just IT , so look out for the next edition of that newsletter

I did some work for them at one point and I couldn't think of a better fit for their model than your business. Especially on the forex side and the various SARS dispensations they're allowed that you're probably not...

More price hikes will happen in the upcoming months - possibly as high as R700 for 4 GB RAM, R1500 for 8 GB RAM and R2800 for 16 GB kits :(
