Two men accused of hijacking were arrested in Booysens, near the FNB stadium, on Tuesday, Gauteng police said.
They were caught sitting under the tree by the police patrolling the Soweto Highway, said Lt-Col Katlego Mogale.
She said the police saw three men in a bakkie parked under trees near the stadium and approached them. Two of the men tried to run away, but were caught.
"When police queried the third why he wasn't fleeing. He told them that the men had hijacked him earlier near the Xavier off-ramp and sped off with him."
The two men would appear soon in the Johannesburg Magistrate's Court.
