After trying to hide away from the Sentech spies, it seems that they have found my poor connection and have it by the throat, trying desperately to squeeze it to a slow and horrible death. For a bit of painful fun, I have been trying to do the Sentech speed test for the past ten+ minutes. It has just sort of "parked" there. So, while that was "chewing" bandwidth in its merry state, I toddled over to bandwidthplace.com for a little test there. Lo and behold "The test key was not accepted". But wait, it gets better! The listed possible cause (one of three) is "The test took too long to complete; each key is only good for a limited time"

Got to love my nice shiny modem with the flashy lights that is rapidly becoming a paper weight.

And naturally waiting for an operator to pick up the phone at the call centre is just so much fun! They have all probably gone on a smoke break / coffee break / customer irritation seminar and no-one is around!

Arrggghhhh!

But wait, the phone rings. And what do you know, a voice answers! Apparently they have sent "someone" to look at the tower with "speed issues" and it should be up "anytime now".

Got to love the call centre!
