Merc C300

I was in a rather serious accident over the weekend, my car was written off yesterday

I had the Lexus IS 250 SE (2008)

I want to know if anyone has driven / owns the merc C300.

I've taken one for a spin and i'm very impressed, especially with the finance offer they are willing to make. Prime - 3.03% (+ a decent sized discount)

Any comments, better alternatives?

Personal opinion:

Are you old enough to have genuine concerns regarding possible prostate problems? If yes, then you've found your car. If no, look elsewhere. Have Merc buyers never seen Beemers or Audis?

audi's are poor mans mercs and bmw's are for hooligans (said knowing i am about to get flamed)

Merc is definately the way to go... Just get the extended mobilo drive to 120000kms (costs about 10k) and you wont have to worry about any costs

Why are you interested in moving marques now? Simply the deal you can get?

I'd look at Audi before BMW or Merc btw - but maybe it does come down to an age thing?

Althought the merc is more expensive than lexus - It has a lot more power and will cost me less per month than a new lexus. (Merc Finance) -

The gauranteed buy back also removes much of the risk of buying with residual....

Get the merc. The current C class is more than a match for the E92 which is now a generation older. The 300 is a good engine. What trim spec? And as said upgrade to the mobilo drive +. The Merc will also lose far less on trade in tyhan the equivalent bmw.

Go drive one.

I'll be taking the avantgarde spec - + the advanced agility package. Pretty much all the creature conforts, makes it so much nicer inside
