On my wife's car, M B A170 2006 model, Km 134,000 we have some queries: -

1> The engine warning light comes on at times, this started about two weeks ago. The car was in for an E service last week Monday, September 29th. (with a reputable service dealer, not with M B). They were unable to trace the problem.

2> A message reading "check tyre pressure and reset runflat indicator" is showing. All wheels are equally inflated at 2,2 bar, no slow punctures. Cannot reset this message.

3> The service dealer, although trying, claimed that for some reason, they were unable to reset the computer.

One or more of the tyre pressure monitors needs a new battery - thats my guess.

On the engine light, a proper diagnostic should show the fault.

I have done a diagnostic test on the M B A170, 2006, as advised to do above. How ever, the centrum that did the diagnostic could not identify the specific problems. The results are: - a5,00,00,00 current ECM; a6,00,44,a0 ESP: a6,00,4f,44 ES; a6,00,45,4e ES; 9001 The supply voltage of the control unit is too low(undervoltage). The voltage was less than 9.5V during 3s OCP.

Can you please assist with what these codes signify?

Including the spare tyre?

More likely to be a faulty abs sensor

Get a new mechanic.

Was wondering if the cause of this issue was ever found/resolved? Having the same problem with my wifes car at present.
