Mercenary Politics

You know they're wrong. You know what they are doing is wrong. But you will support them tooth and nail until they are voted out/kicked out.

Then you'll 180 degree change your tune/plead ignorance/guilt trip/blame shift/deny your way out of any and all knowledge or responsibility.

I am reminded of Malema employing such politics when he said "I will defend Zuma with my life". Then when he fell afoul of his master, his tune changed so quickly you would think it was a different Malema all along. That's because it was. He was, like many others in the ANC and in the Zuma loving media franchises, are playing mercenary politics.

You'll do it, you'll love it and smile about it while the money is there but first chance you get you are running.

Mercenary politics or just politics in general?

It's the seemingly warlike nature of this brand of politics; the willingness to use physical violence or to brand you an operative or an agent which by African standards means, well you know what that means.

It's the eagerness to defend your master/s with actual violence and to bring violence to those who oppose him or his party.
