Just curious, has anybody with a Merlin U740 card ever seen the LED turn Magenta?

I'm getting HSDPA speeds but the LED remains blue similar to the blue that the U630 card displayed for 3G only.

My Option HSPDA card does actually indicate the triple flash when receiving HSDPA.

Maybe I'm just colour blind:D

Mine goes Magenta or more of a dirty blue.

My Merlin stays blue even though I am getting HSDPA speeds, also reports 230k connection speed.

Not that I've been lucky enough to test my Merlin out on HSDPA yet..
But on inserting it, it momentarily pulses: red - blue - magenta (forget exactly which order)
What I wonder about is the "yellow" which is meant to be EDGE... I've never seen it go yellow...

mine just stays on blue when connected and the card seems to be limitting to 66.61kbps even though I am in a 3g area and am on a 3g only profile, any help:confused: would be appreciated.

Just an update in this LED colour question...

WIth the new firmware the LED does change colour according to the carrier used. As also pointed out by redarrow in another post.

White: Card Initialising
Red: Problem, SIM card or PIN missing
Green: GPRS
Magenta: EDGE
Blue: 3G
Yellow: HSDPA

If I can recall the colours for HSDPA adn EDGE was reported the other way around.

Which version of the firmware do you run?

I remember with the Huawei, the colours actually changed between firmware versions...
