Ok this is a thread I've made on a couple of forums already to no avail so I'm just gonna copy and paste it:D

Ok I've got a seriously weird problem on my laptop that I've tried to get help for numerous times to no avail.

Say my laptop time is 13H00 on 25 October 2008.

I either switch it off or hibernate it and switch it back on 2 weeks later.

My date and time are the same.

Somebody suggested the BIOS battery but I doubt it since that would reset it to 00H00.

Can anybody help?

Oh and I'm running Vista Home Premium SP1 and the problem started around the start of October or so.

Try keeping the laptop plugged into the power outlet when it off, then boot it up and see if the time has changed, if it has then that means that your cmos battery is flat, else its something else, if that does not work then go into your time settings and set the laptop to sync the time with the windows website whenever you are online or any other website it may display that offers time sync. are you also by any chance using mcafee?
