I just called Marouns for a quotation on metallic paint and i was told R800 per litre. Yoh.

Called Hot Pot auto paints in Springs and was quoted between R100 and R300 per litre.
Where else GP can I get nice prices? How many litres do you think it's gonna need to re-spray my rear bumper?

Just compare apples with apples. Glasurit, 3M etc will obviously cost more than the cheap & nasty stuff.

Rather go for the expensive stuff(if possible try to speak to a panel beater who will advice you on the best paint ) than cheep paint which may not match your colour correctly or be as durable and when it come time to trade your vehicle it will look uniform rather than an off colour which could scare of potential buyers, etc

Thanks guys. My budget is tight. So I'll shop around and see if I can get better value for money.
This is the color

I see you wanna respray your bumper. This involves a bit more work I think. You gonna need a special plastic primer and prep the surface properly before you can spray your colour.
With metallic paint it's always a hit & miss affair as far as I'm concerned even from the pro body shops. Some times the match is bad, other times very good but when looking at a different angle you can see a part that's been resprayed. Doubt you would need more than a litre for a bumper but I'm not sure, definitely not more than two.

I wouldn't risk it.
Rather find a cheap RMI approved work shop to do it.
I was quoted R1200 for a full front bumper respray with fitment at an up and coming panelbeater, still need to make time to get it done.

Yep - not as easy as you think.
Rather save and get it done properly.

My future son-in-law is a spraypainter for a company in Westmead, and they only use Marouns.

So yes, rather use the good stuff.
He also says most dual tone colours is easier to spray than grey or silver for example. Slightly mismatching dual tones is not easily seen with the eye, as with silver.
