We have a few similarities, sure those similarities are declining. But we still have a legal system (for now). And the rule of law requires a link to a racial connection for this to qualify as hurts. You clearly cannot produce any evidence of the racial link. Too bad for you.

Please do explain why we called somebody a "Donnerse bobbejaan" without discrimination historically? Being of a melanin challenged, I was called this if I did something stupid, just like millions of melanin challenged children and people doing idiotic and stupid things before me ... :unsure:

today in my whatsapp someone posted a family picture of their kids in their status with my monkeys as the heading. nice pic.

you can call someone a dumb cnut, but dare you say monkey and the person goes ape. that in itself is dumb as ****.

Just becoz you grew up with a silver spoon in your ass where nobody called you names or treated you like you were less than **** doesn't mean others haven't gone through it. We can argue that the word monkey in this instance wasn't used in a derogatory way but to not acknowledge it at all shows huge disconnect form reality.

Growing up in afrikaans towns I heard endless references to monkeys, gorillas, baboons referring to people, or are you like the ANC now where certain history just didn't happen?

Edit: Also, if the monkey reference means nothing, why are stupid football fans always throwing bananas at black soccer players? They lose their salad during matches?

YOU were the one dismissing ALL instances of someone being called a monkey as not racist and whining about an agenda when the only one with an agenda here is you. I know it's convenient to forget history because you're so woke but people are still throwing bananas at coloured football players and calling them monkeys on white nationalist forums.

I also know that this is such a great inconvenience to you that there has to be oppressed people in the world and people still living like animals, but there is a world outside of your basement, maybe you should factor in how others feel besides opening your mouth

Point is there has been a lot of hostility over the years and in anger, the slur has been used in a dehumanising way - people haven't' been shouting at their coworkers, they have been shouting at people who have had less rights than you have had. Often anger has also resulted in severe punishments for some people, preceded by an onslaught of slurs.

There are white people in the police, despite the best efforts of the ANC.
 
The police force is a perfectly integrated fully representative force which represents the demographics of the entire rainbow of SA in an entirely perfect non-racial manner. It cannot be called a black police force. It is therefore impossible that this could be a racial slur in this instance.
