I have tried getting in touch with this company for a while now.
I have tried phoning them but my phone's battery dies long before they will take my call, I have tried emailing them, no reply to date. I have tried their social media and no response. I even tried to get into contact with them here.
Nothing.
Metrofibre Networx contributor Standard Banks should be deeply concerned considering it is their investment. Other big investors like ARC "African Rainbow Capital" and AIIM "African Infrastructure Investment Managers" Should perhaps ask for a performance audit, and some reassurance that the company is being properly managed.
If I that is an absolute nobody can't get any basic information, how do they hope to sell a product and create a client base? Ignoring clients is probably the worst thing that MetroFibre can do.
Considering the 2 star rating at hellopeter.com with a sample of 1440 reviews and Google with its 2.4 rating with a sample of 758 reviews there is much room for improvement.
It is no wonder that many many people are moving back to LTE specially in the MP province where MetroFibre has more infrastructure then Openserve or so it seems. However it is good to know that we are seeing Openserve in our area, soon they may bring with them healthy competition.
Currently I am an LTE client my ISP is Telkom. Telkom unfortunately does not offer fast uncap LTE products. I believe their last uncap LTE product was 10Mbs. The company I work for doesn't want contracts because they themselves are fighting to survive our current economy. So we where asked to look into prepaid services. I decided to take a contract with Telkom regardless because at the time it was my only option. As this contract is coming to an end next year I am hoping to go over to prepaid Fibre as this will allow me more flexibility.
At this point I have given up on MetroFibre and is hoping anyone else will start installing infrastructure. I know Vodacom is also active right now. Lets see maybe by March we will have better selection of providers.
But I can see why so many people are upset with this provider. They really need to up their game to stay competitive.
