MetroFibre Leaflet - Competing with Greencom, FireStream et al ?

I though I understood the model of how Fiber is deployed until I came across this leaflet in my complex.
Is MetroFibre eating its children ?

Update : So I come home to our complex yesterday and I noticed this big wooden drum with blue tubes.
Soon after that, a guy walks door to door announcing they are laying fibre in our complex starting tomorrow (today as of this writing).

I have to say, I never thought it would happen.
The guy says they will take about 3 weeks to cable the entire complex.
I just hope I get activated before the 3 weeks.
For now though time to cancel that telkom line...

When you list R500 "Installation Fee", what exactly does that cover?
Compared to Vumatel, would that be the equivalent of their R1710 installation fee, or their R999 connection fee which CISP absorb?

The installation fee is the ONT fee that MFN would bill us for, we absorb the other costs for now.

PBCool - your pricing looks awesome and while I'm likely to sign up with MF to get them to install, I'd want to shift to you asap to get 25/25 or 50/50. I'm a fibre noob, so could you give me any idea of what you're doing to reduce the prices? Thinner margins, adding a bit more contention?

No problem, there are quite a few moving parts involved. Based on our deployments and now with the capacity we have, we have managed to negotiate really good rates on local and international capacity. This is a numbers game so the margins for ISPs are quite small.
