Mgoqi ordered to leave office

The big wheel turns.
Although I doubt this is the last we hear of him.
And to think this is what De Lille wanted to vote back into power.
Mgoqi and Mama-India.
Now they need to tackle all the other jobs for pals in The City of Cape Town.

Stand by for the next episode from The Adventures of Godzille. :D

This is good news for Zilla, who I think will do a very good job as mayor

Surprisingly the DA areas seem to be getting less attention at present as "Zilla" seems to visit ANC Territory a lot more.
I am not concerned.
As long as the job gets done and from I have seen so far she has a passion for Local Government. :)

Dont know? Maybe now as Mayor perhaps, but not before I think?
I met her once in Febraury when she was doing her rounds one Saturday morning, drumming up support for the Elections in March.
She was driving a Gold Opel Corsa.

The judgement just shows how much Mgoqi was aligned to the ANC as they are basically his defence team. Luckily he's now out of power so we don't have to listen to his constant BS.

A bit concerning about this though:

Skwatsha reasoned that if Mgoqi's contract extension had been invalid, he was then presiding illegally at the meeting and the election of Zille and Freedom Front Plus speaker, Dirk Smit, was also illegal.

I'm also concerned about the argument that the election of Zille& co could be void if the chairman was illegal.

But: Would the result of the election have been different had there been another chairman? I doubt.

If Zille managed to become mayor under ANC chairmanship, she most probably would have done even better under a non-ANC chairman.

They would need another Court Case to contest that one and who is going to pay for it?
They may be setting themselves up for an even mightier slap when the ID Councillors start choosing sides now that they have had more time to think it over and the DA may actually increase its vote count.
Tafelsig in Mitchell's Plein is having a By Election soon on the 6th of June where the seat, a previously ID seat, is going to be hotly contested.
Watch the news for that result.
