Mi A1 6 month review

I have had this phone about 6 months now and it's great, pure stock android straight from Google. nice specs and runs smoothly, good battery life, build quality sound quality with powerful external speaker. The only thing they is not so great is the stock camera however I've seen much better results since using Open Camera.

The IR blaster also doesn't work but everything else works as advertised. Absolute steal for the price I paid.

Did you try the Google camera API. Makes a big difference

My IR on my Mi A1 works perfectly with all my TV's, my Mi Box and DSTV decoders using the PVR Remote App from play store

I can't get mine to work. The blaster is working I can see it under a camera. But my tablet has a blaster and it works flawlessly using the same app. The a1 just doesn't work ever

That's very weird. I'll test my mom's Mi A1 tonight and report back

Standard Mi Remote App for tv's and Mi Box and would've set the region at SA when I got the phone. For DSTV, search the Play Store for DSTV Remote
