I just bought Mi box S , and it connected to WiFi and everything was working fine, but then after sometime, it showed the message not able to connect to WiFi, it doesn’t show my home modem router anymore in the WiFi connections, I tried to factory reset mi box but still it’s not able to show my WiFi router, it shows other connections in my vicinity, my neighbor WiFi even my personal mobile phone hotspot but it doesn’t show my home router, please help anyone

Could be that the Mibox only supports up to channel 11 due to FCC laws in the US.

Login into your router go to 2.4ghz WiFi change WiFi channel to a specific channel under 10 don’t use auto and apply .

Run an ethernet cable, that is the best way wifi is not reliable. I have switch behind my tv and all my deviced are hard wired.

The Mi Box doesn't have an ethernet socket - it can only connect via WiFi.

Did you manage to get this sorted? Did you try re-booting the router)s as well? I experienced this once on my MiBox and my WiFi only showed again after I restarted the router.

Then you buy a USB to Ethernet dongle, lots of them listed on Takealot which doesn't cost an arm and a leg, for example: https://www.takealot.com/ugreen-usb-2-0-to-10-100mbps-network-adapter/PLID47209911

If 10/100mbps adapters are not your thing, there are Gbps ones available too (if your home network requires faster speeds).

My MiBox 3 used to do the same back in the day. Once I switched over to a ethernet via the dongle I haven't looked back.

That is an option for some but not all. My USB port is permanently in use for my wireless keyboard. Having said that, I personally have no issues connecting via WiFi.

No problem, just thought I'd mention it. Everyone has different use cases / scenarios :)
