I have an original Mi box connected to our main TV and so far I have had very few problems with it, but I would like to move it to my bedroom TV and buy a new box for our main TV.
The ethernet port on the Ematic 4K is very appealing so I would like to know if you think the Ematic is a better choice over the Mi - S box. I know the Mi does not have a ethernet port but I also know they work well and I know nothing about the Ematic.
29 pages on the Ematic thread is too much for an "old man" to scroll through.

I have 2 Ematic boxes and they are working perfectly. One runs via ethernet in the TV Room and the other via wifi in the bedroom, which has had no issues with video lag etc. I am very happy with the Ematic.
PS: I am also an "old man" but fortunately I was involved with and still keep abreast of all things IT and technology related.

I have a biased opinion because I work for Nology which sells the Ematic.

But something that you might appreciate is that we have a dedicated support team to assist you with any issue you may have with your Ematic AGT419. No matter how small or big the issue is; they are ready and waiting to replicate it and will even test out an app that you may have a problem with.

The only issue I've come across with the Ematic is that the internet drops when you try connecting to a VPN when you're connected to Ethernet. But this seems to be an Android TV issue, not an Ematic one.

Other than that the device great, and it's my preference. Have one in the lounge, with the Mi Box relegated to the bedroom...

Honestly in specs they the same ... it’s just one has an Ethernet port that’s all ...

Both are good. I have both.

Ematic Ethernet port. My plus point.
