Hey y'all,

Wondered if anyone knows of a decent micro atx case that doesn't cost the earth (in other words, not the Antec Aria), doesn't have to be tiny-tiny, just good looking-ish, ..maybe a see thru panel somewhere ;)

..I'm looking to fit the following inside:

CPU: AMD Athlon64 64 3000+ 939 (will be oc'ing a bit)
MEM: 1024mb Kingmax SuperRam (2x512mb)
MOBO: Biostar TForce 6100-939
HDD: Seagate SATA-2 160GB
GPU: 6800gs
DVD-RW x 1
PSU: 500W (oh yeah, The KME one looks kinda nice and only R399, 120mm fan etc.) or KME 400W Silent (R499 tho, also don't know if it's got any drawbacks due to being silent..?)

Cool, ..thanks in advance, ..hopefully ;)

Not to thread crap, honestly no offence, but those KME's are defo not reco....We can argue about it,They have weak +12v rail and dont think dual 12's either....most of there power is allocated to the +3v and +5v rails, and they tend to be case bundle PSU's(they will crapp out sooner and might just blow up and take your whole setup with them) that came with KME cases, which are sub sub sub par because obviously if a company divides its attention to 2 products instead of one(both of which are weak),then the result is usually 2 weak products....
Again,we can debate this, many ppl overlook PSU's,BUT I do know I am factually correct.

Why on earth do you want a 500W PSU in a micro case? There is no space for SLI or 5 hard drives or whatever, so what will you do with the watts?

Indeed,a quality 400 would suffice except in the case of upgrading.
This seems like a Cafe Viva purchase to me.

I would also say you should consider buying everything from the same supplier. That way you avoid surprises like having to remove the graphics card heatsink for it to fit etc. :) Make it their problem, rather than yours.

personally i wouldnt use a micro case for overclocking unless youre watercooling everything with an external watercooler. Micro atx cases dont leave a whole heard of room for things like airflow.

200Mhz from stock wont raise the ambient or CPU temps more than about 2 degrees +-,"note OC abit"....If the airflow is bad then it's bad.....recomendation-good wire management....

Ok, ..no worries, ..sure I'm aware that KME is not such a rad brand, ..but I had a 5759 with stock 300W PSU, and it never seemed to give any trouble.. but I'll heed your warning! :)

Oh ya the 500W thing, sure, .no I don't need that much, ..I don't know exactly what I was thinking..

Ok 400W it is, ..but then can anyone suggest one that is decent/quiet and under R500?

Ok then, thanks for the info!
Maybe I should modify my question then,
..what about a small-ish ATX case, that has enough room and looks good?
See, I just don't want to have to drag a huge thing around..

I'll have some cheaper cases on the site later, have a look and let me know if you find anything you like. You can use DOT banner at top if you dont know site address.
