Hi,

So I'm on the lookout for a decent Micro SD card for my smartphone.

Have a budget of R300 -R350

It needs do have very good read and write speeds as no one enjoys waiting to view files

Anyone have any good example. Minimum 32gig.. 64 would be great

I have a Samsung 16GB Class 10 that I bought for 200 I think, can't remember.
It is a class 10.

Any Class 10 Micro SD is a good choice.

I got a 64GB Micro SD card from Esquire for R318. (Adata Class 10)

Rather than create my own thread, I'll ask here. My phone's SD card is showing signs that it's about to croak. I saw a Samsung Evo 32 GB card in the ads (Dion bday sale) for R180. A little digging ( http://www.storagereview.com/samsung_32gb_evo_microsd_memory_card_review_mbmp32d ) revealed that it's rated Class 10 for video recording. My current card can't handle 2k video recording, so the few times I've done that, I had to save to my internal storage then move the file to the external card.

Any opinions on this card, or should I look at alternatives?

Whats most reliable brand to get for an Android phone, im seeing Sandisk is very popular?

Why class ten? You not taking high speed video footage. I have a class 4 in my phone and its 100%. Photos and decent video

I use Sandisk and have never had an issue. Until 2 weeks ago.
Phone started doing a couple of funny things, and I narrowed down the pattern to anything involving writing to the Sandisk 64GB microSD.
Filled in the online RMA form at sandisk.co.uk and they said the issue was that the card went into write-protect mode to prevent the data from getting corrupted further. Fortunately that meant I could get all the data from it without a problem.
9 days later I received my warranty replacement by UPS.

TL;DR Sandisk all the way
