Hi ppl

I'm a bit outdated w.r.t. memory cards. I got myself a Samsung F480 cellphone. I am looking to buy a memory card for the phone. On the website it states it takes up to 8gig SD card. Which one of the above will work in my phone and what is actually the difference between the 2. which is better?

Please help me before i buy a memory card which will not work in my phone.

Thanks in advance
:confused::confused::confused:

As DJNgoma says the capacity dictates if it is SD or SDHC. Look here.

GSMArena confirms that your Samsung F480 cellphone can take "microSD (TransFlash) up to 8GB". So this 8Gb card would be a SDHC card.

Is it only the microSD (TransFlash) that will work with my phone or will other brands like Kingston,sandisk and other brands work?

:confused:

Other brands will work as long as it is microSD

Not really, had 4GB kingston (which has a good name) in my phone and it'd crash on navigating, the sandisk no problem. So they are not all equal.

I suggest the OP google his phone and SDHC to check what brand works no hassles.

OK, sorry about that then. I've never had any problems with the SDHC card in my phone (used Kingston and Sandisk)

Just do as Drake2007 said to be sure

+1, I've also learnt the hard way by moving away from SanDisk once. IMO get SanDisk as they a have 5yr warranty on their cards plus you are guaranteed quality.
