Anyone in Jhb stocks this cable? Need to get one asap. Geewiz has but they'll have to sources it from overseas.

Basically my kid fscked up my Mi TV stick 4k by putting it into safe mode. Time is now out of sync, WiFi disconnected and the remote isn't working (or lost pairing). Need this cable so I can plug a mouse in to sort everything out...
 
Went hunting today and couldn't find it in any Incredible, hifi corp or Pakistani shop. Ended up just getting a Mi Box 2nd gen.

It took a 3 year old to brick this POS but Xiaomi in all their wisdom couldn't plan for it. Stay away from the stick...

Doesn't work. It's a loop that you can't break out of. Lots of people having the same issue.

When it goes into safe mode, something goes wrong with the pairing of the remote. It also resets the time which kills the WiFi, so you can't even control it from your phone to fix the remote pairing.

With no remote you can't fix the WiFi and with no WiFi you can't fix the remote. So any attempt at hard resetting is useless. If you could break out of the loop there would be no need to hard reset anyway.

Only way to fix this is to get the cable in OP so you can plug in a mouse to break out, since the stick doesn't have a USB port...

Check the link. This one does exactly that. Or at least it's supposed to. Unless they've used the wrong picture.
