Anybody on the forum using a Microcom router. I had a LinkSys WAG54G router which was hit by lightning, we are working from home and had to rush to the shop for a replacement. The only router available was the Microcom.
I was not impressed with the interface but decided to live with it as long as I am able to connect. In the end I had problems with very slow connections, disconnections as well as DNS errors which I blamed on my ISP. I also had lots of problems downloading my mail, in fact I had to disable the windows firewall before being able to download my mail.
Halfway through a very frustrating day I decided that enough is enough and decided to take the LinkSys to the distributors for repairs. To my amasement the router was swapped for a brand new LinkSys WAG354G without any questions.
On getting home I installed the new router and what a pleasure no slow connections, no disconnections and no problems accessing my mail. The DNS issues have been resolved as well. No site cannot be found message for every second page being accessed.
