Well its going on 4 years since I last bought an ADSL Router/Modem and on Saturday night I was seriously taken out by lightning.
My Netgear DG814 + Server PC were totally burnt out and so on Sunday to get myself back on I went down to Incredible Deception and bought the cheapest router/modem I could find which ended up being a Microcom for R349
After battling like hell with the Ethernet etc, I switched over and connected to it via USB and hell this was simple, just add Username and Password and bingo the magic just happens.
Now concidering its only 350 bucks this thing works friggin well and I have it connected to a PC which inturn connects to my LAN via a NIC and switch.
My question is, what are the advantages (if any) in connecting this Microcom using its ethernet connection as currently it works pretty well USB.

It will be easier and more reliable to distribute your internet connection to other PC's should you have more than one PC left using the Network Port.
