Microcom router Bad things

Hi.

Is anybody having problems with a microcom 4 port adsl router. for me it seems to have something wrong with it. Everytime i click a web site. well 98% of the time. i get that error that the page was not found, and i have to click the (try again) button alot of times for it to go through. also, i'v noticed in my taskbar in the bottem right corner it says internet connection established, then internet connection dissabled, then internet connection established sometime it says it quite alot. I play a zero hour online and it does'nt disconnect there, but i think my ping might be abit higher because of this modem and maybe it is even doing in there aswell. What is the problem and how can i fix it? oh and even my limewire now wont move up further than 1 bar connection, but when i download something from the net its still coming through at the true speed. so i dont know whats happening..Please let me know whats up.....thanks

Its not the router but telscum.
I've had a Microcom USB for years now and its proven better than the Netgear I had previously.
The internet generally is going down the tubes with Gateway Timeouts, Page cannot be displayed, Server Timeouts and sites taking a long time to come in.
I was better off 8 years ago with my USRobotics 56k modem where I used to play UT on any European server I chose with pings of 180, now with ADSL I'm lucky if I see below 400.

well it is strange then cause my brother got a 386kb line at his place and he get faster pings than me and i got 512kb internet, and he uses a telkom modem, i used to have this problem always even at my other house but not this bad now days. so either i have a faulty modem or i just have bad luck with the places i choose to live with internet. i remember i phoned my isp one day to fix a different problem and it actually took it away. then when i formatted it came back. so i think it might be a setting that is wrong and i cant remember how to fix it. i'm gonna try and get another modem to test and there is no ways i'm calling telkom cause i'll only here from them next year
