Are there any legitimate microjob websites in SA?
Looking to make a few extra bucks... R50/day would be a nice start for, say, a couple of hours work.

What industry or just random stuff around the house?

Not sure how to answer that question properly. Lemme rather say the following:
- I have a full time job, so having to drive anywhere is out of the question during office hours, and driving after hours will just waste time and cost money... I'd prefer to avoid that.
- Industry doesn't matter.
- I don't mind giving up 2 hours of mindless tv-watching from 19:30 to 21:30 if it will earn me R50/day.
- I can just mindlessly watch tv from 21:31 to 23:31 :crylaugh:

We go with odd jobs then ie not sector bound just stuff to do for some moola in your neighbourhood.

Such a website should exist, if it doesn’t then we build one.

In the meantime gumtree and OLX might be a starting point put your time out there.

Available for odd jobs from 7pm - 10pm

you can try m4jam, did it a while back,

might do it from time to time, make an odd few bucks here and there...

more like taking photos, doing surveys, things like that,

other thing you can try is mystery shopping,
I tried it once, not my cup of tea TBH....

but if you can get regular gigs, might work out nicely.....

You willing to work a couple of hours for R50? Am I missing something?

R50 is better than no money if someone offered me R50 to wash their car and it's right by me I would grab it in a hart beat.

Hehe ... I am just being realistic. Nobody is gonna pay much more than that for a microjob.
Thor187 mentioned R50 for a car wash which , to me , is the perfect example.
And bear in mind that the minimum wage for domestic workers is under R15/hour.

So an update of what I've found since yesterday...
The only viable job I've seen so far is for transcribing audio. I can only type 40 words/minute so it's gonna be a stretch for me to make R50 in 2 hours with that, unless I can learn to touch-type. Guess what YouTube videos I watched for most of my spare time yesterday evening? :)

Has anyone been successful at getting tutoring jobs through websites where you signup and provide your credentials and availability?

Why not try and get into uber / uber eats. The owner/drivers make 75% of the trip, or purely the driver ( who doesnt own the car ) makes about 25%. Im not sure how the eats portion works, but essentially could be a nice way of getting easy cash for driving in your area?

I wanted to do this with a few Toyota Coralla's that we have here. Uber had very strict requirements you need a specific car and model.

I ordered last night and the guy came on a bike. Looks like quite a good option actually.

Looks like those restrictions don't apply to Uber eats though.

There was a sight I pondered back in my student days.. will see if I still have the link.

Basically you register, they send you the audio, you transcribe and they mark it.
You need a score at a specific percentage to get in but it's apparently decent money and in dollars which can't hurt either.
Will update when I'm home

Not recommending them, just mentioning them as an option.
