Microsoft and Google combat child porn

Sounds like a good idea, however the Internet free speech crowd will moan that when you implement restrictions, however altruistic, it starts impeding free speech. I do support it, as long as it is only limited to restricting child porn.
 
Most of this is merely a politician making a noise to the media. I don't think these search engines will make the difference by blocking the search queries - they are bleating as they are wanting to be seen doing something ... the technological expertise in identifying images and distribution networks is very much more important.
