Microsoft announces a free GitHub Copilot for VS Code

For the bare basics I would say that 2000 intelligent code completions a month and 50 Co-pilot chat messages a month a month is enough. If you are a professional, best examine the pricing tiers. I would say that the amounts are generous. There are some essentials excluded from the free tier, but I can't see how anyone who it is aimed at in the free tier would need it anyway.

2000 code completions a month isn't a lot considering it would autocomplete as you type.

I'll pass, thanks
It's bad enough my employment is threatened by this AI malarkey

My man, you need to embrace AI however grudgingly it may be.

Otherwise less smart people will do more work in less time - a far bigger threat to your employment.

I am contemplating changing careers, get two men, a bakkie and become a plumber or electrician. The latter I will need to write an exam for, which is not a big deal.
