I bought myself a Microsoft Arc Mouse today from Matrix Warehouse for R349.

It's a great mouse and I felt like bragging too :p

I'm used to a Notebook mouse and this is slightly bigger, but great value for money.

Check it out if you need a new mouse :)

That is a nice looking mouse... it just doesn't have nearly enough buttons for my liking ... need at least about 17 :D

Razor Naga is my weapon of choice

I've got a black and a white Arc mouse and a white Arc keyboard (imported from Amazon). The white pair is being kept to use as HTPC remotes in my lounge; The black mouse is my portable mouse of choice.

They're okay for light use, but I've got a bigger (but still lightweight) corded Microsoft mouse and a Lenovo keyboard on my main working desktop - much more productive.

I could never get used to something that small in my hand ;)

I am using a Razer Diamondback3g for my laptop and this one at home.

Do you use a Mouse pad with your Arc Mouse? I find it very sensitive today, probably the desk or something?

I never use a mouse pad, mine works fine on most surfaces. Now that you mention it, I did slow down the pointer - it's the sort of thing you only do once, then forget about. It's probably so sensitive because of it's high DPI.

Thanks Drunkard, I've also slowed down the pointer. Appreciate it ;)

R349.00?? That is a great price.

I saw this thread a few weeks ago and decided this will be my next mouse. Whenever I am in a PC shop I will always go and check out the mouse prices as well and I've never seen it for under R600. Most of the times they are around R800-R900 each.

Was it a special or are there different models in the Arc range?

I'm not sure if it was a special. I bought it at Matrix Warehouse. It's the first Arc mouse Microsoft released (I'm not sure if the new one is here yet). It's still working great after all this time. Had a bit of USB issues on my Box, but otherwise no problems.

I have one of them Razer Mamba mouse jobbies with a Razer Goliathus mouse pad - best combo and design i have had in a mouse...apart from the Logitech Mx000 series mice. Drivers are stable and the corded / cordless feature make it ideal for un-interrupted use.

Rebeltech has it for under R 350. I'm sure I've seen it for under R 400 at one or two retailers (including the odd coloured ones).

There are only two that I know of, the normal one and the 'touch' one, but I've only ever seen the normal one in stores.
