Anyone ever done this? I see you can specialize in server components like Exchange, AD etc.

I started the process, but still trying to raise some of the money. My last calculation was that it would cost me about R350 000.

I gave up on MS certification - 8 years of studying and exams - and didn't really learn anything I didn't already know.

I agree with experience being higher on the scale, but certification is important.

I put my CV out about a year ago, and got a couple of offers but some questions about my salary. After doing a couple of MCITP's and an MCT, companies are now phoning me up and making astounding offers...

lol, to present at tech-ed I did the MCT course "Train the trainer", very insightfull course if you have to do any kind of public speaking.

But I am not a trainer by profession, I am an enterprise architect and TS.

Oh right - yeh - went to a lecture once or twice while at college - asked the lecturer what he got... was shocked at how low it was, I was getting more working from home.

Also bailed out of the class - he was absolutely useless, he made so many mistakes that I started getting confused... eventually did it through correspondence - last time I put foot near a college, R20,000 wasted for that year.
