Microsoft Edge & Canary do not open after Win Update

Hi all and thanks for your help.

Win 11
Earlier today a Windows update was installed: KB5067103
After this update, MS Edge browser does not open. There is no error message or anything. It just doesn't open. It is also not listed in Task Manager. The same happened with Edge Canary a week or ago so but didn't think much of it as I don't really use it. I tried to open Edge in Private mode, nothing. I uninstalled the latest two updates Windows installed but it didn't help. I never had this happen to my PC.
I tried just about everything I could find o the net on how to fix this but nothing helps.
I need to have it working again as I have all my bookmarks and so on there. This is my default browser. I sometimes us Chrome but 99% MS Edge.

Please advise what to do. Thanks.

In cmd, type sfc /scannow

When it's done, reboot and check Edge.
 
Restart your machine
If that does not work
Run the setup from the exe on the edge webstie

Restarted many times. I downloaded the installer, MicrosoftEdgeSetup.exe and ran it. Didn't fix it. Will keep on looking. Thanks.
 
Try, Control Panel -> Programs and features -> Right click Edge -> change -> Repair.

Thanks. Just tried it but didn't help. I downloaded an earlier version, 141.XXXXX and installed. It stopped with a message saying that it couldn't complete as it is part of another program or something. It seems Edge is broken.
I will wait for another update. I can also not get Edge Canary up and running. Same issue.

I use Chrome as my primary browser but once a month I open Edge, and then let it import all of my Chrome bookmarks & extensions - so I always have a secondary backup available if Chrome has an unexpected update issue similar to the one you are experiencing with Edge...

Thanks for the suggestion. I will need to do the same. I preferred to use Edge since it uses collections to save bookmarks under headings. Does Chrome offer something similar?
 
1) Too early for patch Tuesday.
2) 9+k devices with zero issues. What is this BS?
 
Got a new tablet and been using edge browser a bit, seems to have improved. Anyone use Brave browser heard good things but wonder if it is worth teh switch from Chrome / Edge

Once you get used to a browser like Brave that removes a lot of the ads and tracking Crome and edge are are a terrible experience.
