I'm trying to install Office '07 and it bails with "MS Office encountered an error during setup". How the hell is one supposed to troubleshooting with that?
Surely a simple error code is not too much to ask for....
Thankfully I know whats wrong in this case because another non-MS installer had a more useful error message (Installer service failed to start). But seriously, MS should get rid of their "shield to user from everything" mentality.
ETA: Works now...just ranting.
