Hi all

I am having one problem with exchange 2003, i cant seem to add the Microsoft pop3 connector, when i go to connectors and go to new it is not there ? and it was there on previous exchange installations that i done.

The version of server is SBS 2003 premium, i know the connector comes with premium but have no idea where to install it ? and where do get it from?

Your help would greatly be appreciated

Thanks

If I remmember correctly it installs the POP3 connector as part of the internet connection wizard.
Should be under Server Managemnt - Advanced Management
Run your internet connection wizard again
You can only add SMTP connector and not a POP3 connector in SBS manually. Just about everything in SBS can get created with a wizard.

Thanks for all the help, got it working 100% now, and that website is great

We're overhauling our current Exchange 2003 system.

Things are in the planning stage, but I'm insisting on limiting the size of users' mailboxes and disk quotas for all users.

Otherwise the users will keep on dumping stuff on the server and in their mailboxes, and this will clog up and slow the system down.

I hope that you are implementing mailbox size limits, and keep enough hard disk space free for Exchange database manipulation, and that you will do regular "live" backups (to clear out the log files) on your Exchange server.

Learnt things the hard way.

Good luck.

Exchange is a solid system, but you will need to perform frequent maintenance on it to keep it in a good condition - unlike Linux which you can just set and forget.
