Just had to share this with you guys

my microsoft keyboard is not compatible with the windows 7 pre-environment

Have you activated USB Keyboard in your Bios. I'm guessing that's your problem. :)

I`m able to press F10 to get into the bios, so I guess so

Well, if you can do that, then It's really weird that you can't us the keyboard in the pre-environment.

If you insert your Win7 CD, can you press a key to boot from it?

I had a problem with my Logitech Wave KB in the BIOS on my old Asus P5N32-E SLI board. Cursor would just run up and down on all the menu items incessantly, so I had to time my keystrokes to access something, or change the KB. It was quite an achievement to get something done with only my Wave KB.

Can`t do boot options(OS selection), and windows pre-environment(repair etc.), tried to find out what the problem is, and people say its due to incompatibility of some keyboards with win7. Just found it funny that my Microsoft keyboard would be incompatible while a cheap-ass Chinese one works.

I`ll make a youtube video if you don`t believe me

Also Activate Legacy USB in the BIOS. I've had were the USB keyboard would work in the Bios but not afterwards.

No it's cool, I believe you. :)
I would return it if I were you, how long have you had it for?

That's nothing, my friend has a Microsoft BlueTooth notebook mouse; works fine in Windows XP, but Vista and Windows 7 cannot find drivers for it.

It also works on his new MacBook Pro, so guess who's never going back to Windows.
