Beginning of the end for Windows 10

Microsoft will stop selling digital copies of Windows 10 Home and Pro on its website at the end of the month, a first indication that the company is shifting its attention away from the 7-year-old operating system (OS).

Tom's Hardware has spotted a disclaimer on the official product pages for the OS, which stated that 31 January 2023 will be the last day Windows 10 is on sale.

I guess they need to pump up the PC sales again.

In the back of my mind, I still think of Windows 10 as a beta release and I have it installed on my PC to see how it works.

I didn't realise it's been years

Grabbed a second copy from Microsoft a couple of weeks ago. It's a bit dear at R4700 but it's worth having two of everything just in case.

Updates will still be available until 2024 I believe? Correct me if wrong. Too tired to goggle it.

So, we move to Linux then for the machines we have that aren't being supported by Microsoft anymore post the EOL support date because Win11 doesn't support the more than capable hardware? That's just stupid. I like Win11, it's a prettier version of Win10 in my books, but this is just stupid. Chasing away potential users from the new OS.
