Microsoft Lumia 640 discontinued?

Just chatted to a VC consultant, according to her the Microsoft Lumia 640 is no longer supplied by Vodacom since Microsoft discontinued the model. Sound like a tall tale to me, is it true?

Also had a look at the specs, only bright point is the expandable storage, don't need that much in any case. I'm thinking of cancelling my contract and just buying the 640 from Orange...

I heard a rumor, but I dont think it is my place to either spread it, or confirm it.

My guess is that Microsoft is favoring the Lumia 550 that was just announced since the production cost must be lower... Thanks for the info Ockie

That is not the rumor I heard. If that rumor is true then it will be very interesting.
