Microsoft O/S Key finder?

Does any of you guys know if Microsoft has a utility to locate its Operating Systems reg no's? Some companies claim their O/S'es are registered but in fact are lying about it and you might encounter some pc's on a lan not connecting due to unregistered O/S'es

This will help you to get the "CD KEY" used with install as for registration, that is not really a requirement, activation is. If they did not activate windows (XP / VISTA)work will not be possible from that PC after 30 days.

thanks mate, but i already have that...Thing is im looking for a utility ( hopefull made by Microsoft ) to access workstations over a lan, and get the info ( networking licenses ) i need
WinXp has a limit of 10 users on a lan...after that u have to purchase additional networking licenses...
