Our whole office personal (7 people) are experiencing the same problem that whenever we send an e-mail most of the time it goes out double. Using mweb as my ISP, 512kbps uncapped, Nod 32 antivirus. Error that I have found on outlook is that mweb smtp server times out and the e-mail is then resent. Please help as this is getting really frustrating and embarrising with regard to our customers.
Thanks.

The best thing to do if you want to save yourself time and money is to call and talk to Mweb right now as ultimately it looks like they have the power to fix your issue with the SMTP server timing out. Tell them it is an emergency(it is).

Sound's rather like NOD32 is intercepting the outgoing mail, timing out the outlook queue even if it's sent successfully then passes it along again. Easiest method to test would be to turn off the NOD mail scanning, send mail using outlook and telnet and checking :)

Gave mweb a call yesterday and they re-authorised my account and I was told to restart my router half an hour later. E-mails have been moving OK this morning no time outs yet gonna keep my fingers crossed. @Wulf, my outgoing e-mail scans were already disabled, but thanks.

The problem showed its head again, I called again, my connection was reset again AND
smtp server address was changed from smtp.mweb.co.za to smtp.mweb.net
Its been a week now and no complaints touch wood.

This is rather useful info regarding the smtp server used. I call a sticky on this thread :), glad you got it sorted.
