Hi all, got this little issue with Outlook 2016.

You know how you have to tell it that it's OK to download the pictures in an email because you know the sender?

Well, I've been adding these people to the safe senders list about a hundred times now already and it still keeps on asking me if it's OK to download the images. It's like it doesn't remember me adding them to the safe senders list.

Has anyone else encountered this? Did you solve it?

Have you ticked the "Permit downloands in e-mail message sfrom senders and to recipients defined in the Safe Senders and Safe Recipients Lists used by the Junk E-mail filter" setting in the Trust Centre?

Upgrade to Gmail. It'll automatically download all images for you.

Google is hyping the enhanced security of this new way of doing things, primarily because all emailed images will now be cached on the company’s own servers. That means that when they’re opened, only Google will be able to see your IP address and device details, not some potential spammer or nefarious e-buddy. It also means that Google is now copying every image sent through Gmail to its own servers.

I have many email addresses in Outlook. Not going to bother giving Gmail special treatment. I have malware and spam protection covering all my addresses anyway, but it's nice that the average Joe is being afforded better security.
I have 3 addresses in my Gmail aswell...

I think I'd kill myself within 24 hours if all my email went into one inbox. Outlook keeps all my addresses separate.

Agreed..

Gmail is great for somethings, but managing and monitoring multiple email addresses is definitely not one of its strengths.

Outlook is slow and bloated for me. The less I use it the better.

The main benefit of the latest Outlook is how snappy it is. Either you were using an older version or something weird was going on. I don't know how many tens of thousands of emails I have in Outlook and it's a breeze to use. Or maybe the Office 365 version of Outlook is a little different - who knows.
