'Heavy traffic' swamps company's site, more servers needed; no ETA on posting time

"Due to very heavy traffic we're seeing as a result of interest in the Windows 7 Beta, we are adding some additional infrastructure support to Microsoft.com properties before we post the public Beta today," a spokeswoman said in an instant message reply to earlier questions about the Microsoft.com's performance. "We want to ensure customers have the best possible experience when downloading the Beta."

Looks like it's delayed a bit.

Bed?

So I should stop hoping for miracles and just go to bed now.

I wonder if anyone in Jo'burg would be able to provide the iso on a dvd if I get my own key???

@Rhuey46

I have Win7 32bit Beta build 7000 if you want it. 64bit still downloading, but with Cybersmart f@rken issues could take a while!

PM me if you want a copy of the dvd / iso.

Wow! Where'd you get those links? From a microsoft server too...
google... click on the DD's in my post an you will see :D

@necuno, how do we get the cd keys for them? or can they just be found when the site "opens" again
yes when it opens again.

...at least this way you can download the iso's; normally i would search via www.filemirrors.com for these things but they are not what they used to be, but still they are handy sometimes :rolleyes:

One thing thats great that some people may not be aware of - The links posted above are obviously international, but they work on a local account (probably due to local caching).

The both came down on local only for me! :)

I have the ISOs if anybody wants.
