Microsoft shuts down TechNet program for IT professionals

Microsoft says that trials are the better way forward and MSDN is always an option

I am disappointed.From the days of windows server 2003 evaluation ,i used them till windows 8 this year I used them WHy? Why? Why? microsoft (sobs) . But things change and I wonder
who will pay over 7000 rands for software evaluation ? ( as a South African at that?)
