Microsoft Surface Studio desktop PC unveiled

There is only one response to that..

That makes the iMac look positively crap if you ask me.

Finally it seems other manufacturers were able to find some inspiration in Apple's products and bring viable alternatives to market. This is great as consumers always win in a more competitive market.

Hahaha like a cheap mac ripoff

Did you notice how their laptop uses the keyboard curves of a macbook old style and the colours the same and then the desktop. Only adobe rgb 70% which means it can only reflect 70% of the actual colour scheme. It will be a costly expensive gimmick. Rather stay with Software

What are you going on about?

Think he's talking about the display, 70% Adobe colour space is not bad on a consumer device.

The price though and probably everything is soldered to the mbb.
Ram module starts causing bsod and its 1 month out of warranty...

Nice. But who's it for? Not me - I want multiple monitors on tall mounts. I also want better pricing, better performance, more options, and better serviceability. I understand that doesn't apply to everyone, but who does it apply to? Graphics professional? Video editing? Not with colours like that. CAD users? Not with ergonomics like that. Posers? Maybe. Probably.

Apple hasn't released anything inspiring since Jobs died.

A R40 000 consumer device, but a consumer device none the less. So basically, a poser device.

That's quite an awesome looking piece of kit.

But at that price, no thanks.

Yeah completely a poser device.

MS spent huge sums of money on a poser device....

Well, they're a very profitable market. Just look at Apple.

And Apple are also just making poser devices as well...:erm:

Please, take this quite literally as it is meant.

That is the most retarded opinion on a device and a manufacturer on the level of Microsoft or Apple that I have heard in a long time.

You need to learn to read. Did I say that either manufacturer JUST makes poser devices? Go get a refund from your English teacher.

The mind boggles at how closed minded some people actually are, even people who occasionally appear vaguely intelligent

They have them in the MS Stores in the US, and the screen is massive. Not sure about the little puck device - it is weird pressing it against the screen as I expect it leave a lot of marks.

But all in all it's a beautiful device.

The surface pro tablets are very capable rather amazing devices, these aren't in the same league, innovation is limited it looks nice but apart form the hinged touch screen(has been done before, perhaps not so well) not a lot of new functionality
