Microsoft makes big changes to Windows updates — Report

Microsoft will only release major updates to the Windows client every three years, while launching small new features for the OS more frequently.

That is according to Windows Central senior editor, Zac Bowden, who has built up a reputation for accurately reporting insider developments regarding Microsoft's plans for Windows in the past few years.

.... and with a bit of luck they'll leave Windows 10 alone, save for minor features once in a while, but primarily security patches.

Best thing that happened to Windows 10 was 11, to slow down the update madness.

Updated to 11 and a week later back to 10 backup. 11 is as car as I am concerned not as friendly as 10 and does not offer me anything new.

In other words exactly the same as now...

Frequent little updates that may or may not randomly break thing

Infrequent large inconveniences which may or may not break things.
