Microsoft to reduce lag by predicting your gameplay

Let's look at it from a bit of a technical side. Average latency for a "bad" connection is 300 ms (typical latency from SA to EU servers). That is almost 3 Hz. Games run between 30 and 60 fps these days, which is 30 to 60 Hz. So the screen updates 10 to 20 times in the amount of time it takes to get feedback on your move. So if they do predict maybe a second ahead it could improve the visual aspect a lot.

300ms, wtf are you playing on? I get that going past chinas firewall. heck, i even get 260 playing in Nepal. Europe is around 160-190, depending on household usage.
